The Essentials of Early Literacy Instruction
Effective early literacy instruction provides preschool children with developmentally appropriate settings, materials, experiences, and social support that encourages early forms of reading and writing to flourish and develop into conventional literacy. These basics can be broken down into eight specific strategies with strong research links to early literacy skills and in some cases, with later elementary grade reading achievement. NOTE: There is a clear link between literacy and play. (Kathleen A. Roskos, James F. Christie, and Donald J. Richgels)

The Quest Early Learning Center uses this approach to teach Early Literacy Instruction.
Step 1. Face-to-Face Interview - Call for information, schedule a tour, or simply stop by. This is when you can meet our Quest Family, take a tour of our center, and discuss the important details of our programs. If you can’t make your scheduled interview time, please call to reschedule.
Step 2. Register - Once you decide you like The Quest ELC (and you will!), put down the required registration fee to hold his spot!
Step 3. Paperwork – It’s important to complete all of your paperwork and turn it in. Make sure you have the Physician’s Report with a doctor’s signature and your child’s current shot record.
